Great game (just finished it Tuesday), but yeah, no after sales support whatsoever doesn't surprise me. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Free Download. I think it is due to the main developer being one of those guys who flits from project to project (I read an interview where he say he may prototype a game every couple of days), so has mentally moved on and doesn't care about all this after sales service stuff. No controller support at release (for me it was only a controller game, I played through the whole thing with a controller, except when I got stuck for a bit so tried keyboard/mouse, and found that control scheme didn't work well with the game for me - I considered it a dual stick shooter from the start), a "SteamWorks is buggy" message suggesting a forthcoming patch, which will probably never come, it's generally buggy (I was lucky it only crashed a couple of times, but I know people with otherwise well-setup PCs getting hard locks), etc. I mean, it's not a HUGE deal since I can create my own playlist and find some bootleg/fan album art or something, but it feels like a shoddy release for a soundtrack the internet pretty much lost its shit over.Įverything about Hotline Miami's release screams either laziness or possibly apathy about creating a great product. So the Hotline Miami soundtrack finally has an official, purchasable release (through Steam, for whatever reason). I'm still happy to have supported the artists, but this is a really poor release. Songs from EPs/albums are ordered the same way they were on those releases, and some tracks don't have a track number at all. There's either covers from the albums/EPs the songs are originally from, or nothing at all in the case of some of the original soundtrack work. The stage wasn't my favorite but this is easily my second favorite Perturbator song and using this as the final stage was a stroke of genius. This jam is straight up intoxicating and kicks off the sixth act in a stellar fashion, setting the stage for the trippiest set of stages that the game has had. The droning bass stands out and provides to what I find one of the most fun chapters in the game. It caps off the entire backstory of the most interesting plotline Hotline Miami has in masterful fashion. I remember someone once posted this song and also posted a gif of Emma Watson doing a dance, which perfectly describes this song pretty well. The chapter it's from, and this song, are both Dennis Wedin's favorites in Hotline Miami 2 according to a recent AMA he did. One of my favorite tracks from Perturbator and has been a favorite since before I found out this was in Hotline Miami 2. This is a lovely thematic follow up to Jasper Byrne's original "Miami" from the first game and I listened to this for a long time after first finding it when it was confirmed to appear.
